Dr. Phil's Classic Chevy Stolen
Dr. Phil loves cars, so he has to be sad that his 1957 Chevy convertible was stolen from a repair shop on Sunday in L.A. TMZ says the thieves smashed through a roll-up door at the garage and took off with the car. It's said to be worth $100,000. Police are investigating.
Salt Lake City NBC Affiliate Won't Air "The New Normal"
It's not the first time KSL-TV in Utah has opted not to air an NBC show. Last time it was "The Playboy Club." This time it's "The New Normal." The show centers around a gay couple who have a baby via surrogate, and the CEO of KSL's parent company says they feel it's "inappropriate on several dimensions, especially during family viewing time." Instead, according to the "Salt Lake City Tribune," they will air it on the weekends.
"Sweet Caroline" Won't Be Sung at Penn State Games Anymore
When Penn State opens their football season on Saturday against Ohio, you won't be hearing "Sweet Caroline." The song, by Neil Diamond, has been a staple of the game, but now the tune has been dropped from the fall playlist. University officials are concerned about a stadium full of people singing the words "touching me, touching you" after the recent sex abuse scandal at the school.
 A&E's New "Psycho" Prequel Casts Norman's Mother
Have you ever wondered how Norman Bates became a serial killer? Now A&E looks to answer that question with their new show, "Bates Motel." The show is a prequel to the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock classic. Now the mother of Norman Bates has been cast. Vera Farmiga of "The Departed" and "Up in the Air" will play the mother of Norman.
