Thanks for visiting the Tony Boston page at WFMB.com! I've now been holding the reigns of Continuous Country Nights for over 3 years and love it! I may be biased, but it's the best position to have at the radio station because I get to provide a soundtrack to your night, whether you are out on the town with friends, at home with the family, or in the car going wherever you may be going. The best part about it is that YOU create the soundtrack with your requests and dedications all night long. You make the show different each and every night and I love interacting with everyone who calls in to tell me the story behind the song they want, or let's me know just what they are up to each night. Thanks for making my job fun!!
Here is a little about me: I've been in radio over 10 years and I own and operate a garage door business and a DJ service. I am a graduate of New Berlin High School and Illinois College. I have an amazing girlfriend, a dog that likes to yap but I still love him, a motorcycle to ride in my free time, and I live in a house that is just right for me at this point in my life. I am a diehard Cardinals fan, but I don't get too invovled in other professional sports. I can play the piano and drums, just not as well as I'd like, and would love to learn to play the guitar sometime. I love music in pretty much every aspect and it will always be a big part of my life. I do a good job of keeping busy so you won't find me answering many movie or television trivia questions, but when I have free time I enjoy both.
Feel free to add me on facebook and be sure to keep those requests and dedications coming each weeknight from 7-midnight!!
Tomorrow is the 9th anniversary of the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks on the United States. The crews are working hard in lower Manhattan to build the World Trade Center Memorial and get it done in time for the 10th anniversary. I found this video clip of time delayed pictures of a day's work at ground zero. I thought it was pretty neat to watch how America is rebuilding from this horrible attack, but as you watch, it's hard to not think about the billowing smoke and dust cloud that covered all of Manhattan as the towers fell that September day.
The Sangamon County Fair is coming up this week! This year is going to be a blast like every year. Bomshel with Adam James on Wednesday, Jake Owen and David Nail on Thursday, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Randy Houser on Friday, and Chris Young and Rodney Atkins on Saturday. Don't forget when you pay to get into the fair it includes all the ground acts, carnival rides AND the concert!! I'll be out there Wednesday and Thursday nights so look for me on stage welcoming these great acts to the Sangamon County Fair stage.
