Last week, we went on a family vacation to the Florida panhandle. Obviously, the BP oil spill disaster is on everyone's mind.
We arrived to pristine beaches and oil-free water! There was a ship out quite far from the shore that looked to be related to the spill...just as a precautionary measure. It would go back and forth during the day.
The drive from Central Illlinois to Florida is a long one. We broke it up on the way down, but drove straight through on the way home. It takes a long time to drive through Alabama!
One strange thing I found, no cherry cola on most of the fountains at the c-stores. I love a bit of cherry cola in my diet, but I couldn't find it!
I can also tell you that we have things pretty good here in Central Illinois!
