Adam 'Hawk Daddy' Hawkins
 
Adam Hawkins is your midday host with the most. 'Hawk Daddy' (as he was named by his co-workers) has been working at 104.5 WFMB for 14 years. Hawk is on the air Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm.
Hawk is a native of Illiopolis, a 1988 graduate of Illiopolis High School and a 1992 graduate of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.

When he's not on the air at WFMB, Hawk can be found running, cycling or swimming. A long time runner, and newbie triathlete, Hawk is always in motion.


Hawk is also a JFL football coach as well as the P.A. announcer for Sacred Heart-Griffin varsity football.

During the week from noon-1pm, you can request a song for the 'Sonic Country Cafe' by calling Hawk at 525-WFMB (9362) or e-mailing or texing your request to: Hawk@wfmb.com

In addition to working on the air, Hawk writes, voices, and produces commercials for nearly all of the Neuhoff Media properties.

Hawk is happily married to his high school sweetheart and is the proud father of two great kids.

Well, I knew it would be this way. Fall (or at least the very end of summer) is always a busy time for me. Besides having two kids involved in various school activities, I'm also coaching football.

I love fall, and can't wait for the cooler weather. Now, I don't want COLD weather...just 'sweatshirt and jeans' type weather.  You know, sit around a fire and chat, type weather. I think we are very close!

Hopefully, you had a good summer and you are settling into your routine!

Here's to 14 years!

It was 14 years ago today that I started on 104.5 WFMB. Crazy how time flies, ain't it? I remember driving that big U-Haul up here from Missouri and how much I hated driving that thing.

Thanks for letting me be a part of your life for 14 years!

Today is International Beer Day!

It's no secret that I am a beer lover. I enjoy all types of beer, but mostly the really hoppy stuff, like India Pale Ales. So, I was excited to find out that today is INTERNATIONAL BEER DAY!

Obviously, this isn't a national or even a federal holiday. However, beer is a good thing, and a day celebrating this creation can only be a good thing...when celebrated responsibly!
