What is St. Jude? St. Jude is a pediatric treatment and research facility.  The doctors treat children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.  The research is freely shared with doctors and scientists around the world.

What makes St. Jude different from other children's hospitals? At St. Jude they pay for everything.  In fact, St. Jude has three housing facilities in Memphis near the hospital.  There's the Grizzly House, the Ronald McDonald House, and the Target House I & II.  Dave Marsh recently had a chance to tour Target House, and now you can see it for yourself.

The Research Is Making Such a Difference!  Back in 1962 when St. Jude opened the cure rate for ALL (most common childhood cancer) was only 4%.  Now it's 94%!

It's Not Just Childhood Cancer...St. Jude is also treating children with genetic immune defects, pediatric AIDS, sickle cell, and more.

How did 104.5 WFMB get involved with St. Jude? Over 20 years ago, Randy Owen of Alabama asked country music radio station to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Randy believed that "no child should die in the dawn of life, " and he knew that country music fans would embrace and support the children and families fighting these terrible diseases.  104.5 WFMB was one of the original stations that answered the call.
Now the entire country music community works together for this wonderful cause.  Recently several country artists were in Memphis for the  Country Cares seminar.

Last year 104.5 WFMB joined with two of our Neuhoff Media sister stations, 99.7 KISS-FM and 95Q, to raise over $209,000.
