Chaz Bono Polarizing "Dancing with the Stars" Fans
When the cast of the 13th season of "Dancing with the Stars" was announced Monday night, one contestant stood out on the list. Chaz Bono, the transgendered son of Cher and the late Sonny Bono. Fans of the show immediately took to the message boards on ABC's website to voice their displeasure with the choice. Some accused the show of no longer being family-friendly. However not everyone is unhappy. The Gay the Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is praising the choice calling it a "tremendous step forward." The season premiere of DWTS is September 19th.
"Amazing Race" Features Former "Survivor" Winners
It's not unusual for stars of other reality shows to be contestants on "The Amazing Race," and the upcoming 19th season is no exception. It will be, however, the first time two "Survivor" winners will be paired up on the show. Ethan Zohn winner of "Survivor: Africa" and Jenna Morasca winner of "Survivor: The Amazon" will compete on the show. So will a couple of Olympic snowboarders, a former NFL tight end and his wife, and the youngest person to sai around the world alone and his dad. The show premieres on CBS September 25th.
Robert Downy, Jr. and Wife Expecting
Congratulations go out to Robert Downy Jr. and his wife Susan Levin. They are expecting their first child together in February. The couple has been married for six years, and this will be the first child for Levin. Downy Jr. has an 18-year-old son from his first marriage.
