John Spalding...has been on the radio in Springfield for over 30 years. John's been doing the morning show on 104.5 WFMB in 1995, and he's been stuck there ever since.
Michele MItchell...has been doing the morning show with John since 1998...they are the longest-running morning show in Springfield.

Weekend Marquee and E Buzz for October 26, 2012

Springfield Speedway Reunion: Saturday at the Illinois State Fairgrounds just inside the main gate in the Illinois Building.  Day time activities Noon - 6pm with $5 admission.  Evening activities at 8pm with the "Let's Get Dirty Tour" featuring Cody McCarver.  $10 for the concert.

Hip Hop for a Cure: saturday 9am - 2pm at Gimme 5 Fitness, 3351 S. 6th Street frontage road.  For a donation of $5 or more to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital you can take part in a 30-minute Hip Hop Dance fitness class.  If you don't want to take a class, there's drive by trick-or-treating for a donation too.  100% of money goes to St. Jude.

Goosebumps: Saturday at First Presbyterian Church at 7pm.  Your favorite scary music on their huge pipe organ along with lighting and special effects.  Free, but they will accept donations for the Salvation Army.  All are encouraged to dress in all black or all white, or in costume.
 
Raising Spirits for St. Jude Haunted Halloween Attraction: The Haunted Auburn Theater will be open for one weekend only.  Saturday 7-10pm with a $4 admission and limited to 250 people.  Sunday 1-4pm with a $3 admission and kid-friendly with lights on.  100% of proceeds donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Rocky Horror Show Live: Friday and Saturday at the Hoogland Center for the Arts at 8pm and Midnight each night.  $16 for adults, $15 for seniors and students.  www.hcfta.org or call 523-2787 for tickets.
