Actress Who Voiced Smurfette Dies
While Katy Perry was the voice of Smurfette in the 2011 film about the little blue people, the original Smurfette in the 1980's TV show was voiced by Lucille Bliss.  Bliss has died of natural causes at the age of 96.  She also voiced Cinderella stepsister Anastasia in the Disney classic and was even the voice of the original Elroy in "The Jetsons."  However, in an interesting story, she lost that job because she wouldn't work under a stage name to cover the fact that a woman was voicing a boy character.
