Kevin Costner Prevails in Lawsuit
It was good news for actor Kevin Costner and bad news for actor Stephen Baldwin in court. Baldwin filed a lawsuit against Costner saying Costner cheated him out of a chance to earn millions in a deal to sell devices to clean up the BP oil spill in 2010. Baldwin says Costner and his business partner failed to tell him about the BP deal before Baldwin sold his shares in the company. The jury ruled in favor of Costner.
R. Kelly Owes Taxes
The latest celeb to owe Uncle Sam is R. Kelly. According to TMZ, Kelly owes more than $4.8-million in taxes after he failed to pay his taxes from 2005-2010. A rep for Kelly says he's "in the process of working everything out of the government."
Sarah Jessica Parker Hosts Fundraiser for Obama
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker helped raise another $2-million for President Obama's campaign Thursday night. "The Hollywood Reporter" says SJP hosted the shindig at her Manhattan home with guests such as Meryl Streep and "Vogue" editor Anna Wintour paying $50,000 to attend. Following the event, Obama was scheduled to head to the Plaza Hotel in New York for a fundraiser hosted by Mariah Carey.
