John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry! 
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.

The Weekend Marquee for October 21, 2011

Spookapalooza: Saturday at the Haunted Lincoln Theater in Decatur 7:30pm - Midnight.  This event is a benefit for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will feature live music, costume contest, VIP party, celebrity meet & greets, prizes, raffles, an autographed Heart guitar giveaway, and more.  Ages 21 and up only.  Voluntary contribution at the door.

1776: Music by the Springfield Theatre Centre at the Hoogland Center for the Arts Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2pm.  $18 for adults, $12 for seniors/students.  Call 523-2787 or visit www.hcfta.org for tickets.

Brett Eldredge: Saturday at 7pm at the Meredosia Fall Festival and Burgoo in Meredosia City park.  Free show.

Book Fair: Saturday 10am - 6pm at Barnes & Noble.  There will be guest readers and a Halloween story time, costumes welcome.  Proceeds benefit Springfield Public Schools.  www.sps186.org

Want to Own John Lennon's Tooth?
November 5th Omega Auctions in England will put John Lennon's tooth on the auction block calling it "the most wonderful and weird item" they have ever sold.  The tooth was pulled in Lennon's kitchen in the late 60's, and he gave it to his housekeeper to throw out.  He then suggested the housekeeper give it to her daughter as a souvenir, and she kept it for more than 40 years.  The auction house estimates it will fetch more than $15,000.

James Bond With Facial Hair?
In all the James Bond films there have been, Bond has never had facial hair...until now.  According to "The Sun," Daniel Craig will grow a beard for "Skyfall," the next Bond film. 

Lindsay Lohan Screws Up Again
The day after a judge chastised Lindsay Lohan for failing to complete her community service, Lohan shows up late for her first day of morgue duty.  Lohan's rep says she was confused about which entrance to go through and will return today for orientation.
