John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

American Idol Cuts 11 In One Night
Things are definitely different on "American Idol" this season.  The jury is still out on the new judge lineup, but I'm all for last night eliminations.  The top 24 performed this week, and rather than eliminate 2-4 week to get to the top 12, the top 10 vote getters were announced last night leaving 14 contestants in limbo.   The judges picked six contestants (3 guys, 3 girls) to sing again for a chance to continue and ended up letting 3 of them join the top 10.

Mariah Carey, Usher, Beyonce, and Nelly Furtado are all stars that have been reportedly paid by Gaddafi to perform for members of his family.  Now Carey is speaking out saying, "I feel horrible and embarrassed to have participated in this mess."  She says she will donate royalties froma song off her new album to charities raising awareness for human-rights issues.  "The Hollywood Reporter" says Gaddafi offereed Jennifer Lopez $2-million to do it, but she quickly turned him down.

Star Wars In Theaters Once Again
All six Star Wars films will be re-released in theaters in 3D.  Lucasfilm Ltd. and 20th Century Fox have announced that Episode 1 (The Phantom Menace) will be the first and will hit theaters February 10, 2012.  Each of the other films will follow a year apart.

Charlie Sheen's New Source of Income
He may not be getting paid by CBS, but Charlie Sheen has found another way to make money...Twitter.  He opened a Twitter account the other day and had a million followers in less than 24 hours.  Sheen reportedly told TMZ that he's only on Twitter to make money.  Celebrities like Kim Kardashian get up to $10,000 for one tweet.

Jon Cryer Gets a New Job
Charlie Sheen isn't the only one out of a job.  His "Two and a Half Men" co-stars have some extra down time now too.  But Jon Cryer has found new employment with Ellen DeGeneres.  She's giving him a shot as her receptionist.
