John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry! 
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.

Lincoln Library Summer Book Sale: Friday 8am - 6pm and Saturday 8am - 4pm at Lincoln Library.

Just Add Hope Garage Sale: Friday and Saturday 8am - 1pm at Westside Christian Church.  Proceeds benefit the community they sponsor in Kenya.

Land of Lincoln Honor Flight Concert: Saturday at Lakeside Christian Church. Kelly Ann Sproul from Kent, England will perform WWII era songs at 2pm.  No donations will be accepted.  Refreshments provided by Bisch Funeral Home.

Big River: Friday - Sunday at 8:30pm each night at the Springfield Muni.  Reserved seats $12.  General admission $8 for adults, $7 for studens, and $5 for children 3-12.  2 and under are free.  Call 793-MUNI or visit www.themuni.org

Movie in the Park: Friday at Comer Cox Park at dusk.  Featured film is "Despicable Me."  Free admission.  Bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Dave Chappelle shocked everyone when he walked away from an extremely successful TV show on Comedy Central in its third season.  Now "The Daily" is reporting his may be coming back with a new TV show.  Sources say the show would be available through subscription services like Netflix or Hulu.
