John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry! 
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.

The Weekend Marquee for June 10, 2011

Romeo & Juliet: Friday - Sunday at 8pm each night at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site.  $12 foradults, $10 for seniors, $7 for children under 12.  Call 632-5440 or 800-710-9290.  There is a free pre-show in the indoor theater starting at 7pm.

Zac Brown Band: Friday at the Peoria Civic Center...moved from Three Sisters Park in Chilicothe.  Doors open at 5pm. for tickets.

Townwide Garage Sale: Friday 4-8pm and Saturday 8am - Noon in Cornland.

Ice Cream Social: Sunday 2-4pm at the Athen Library.  Entertainment, free horse drawn trolley rides, and childrens activities.  More info at 636-8352.

Runapalooza: Saturday 11am - Midnight at Rusty's Clubhouse & Grill in Lincoln.  Poker starts at 11am for $15 (includes Band Night).  Band Night start at 5:30pm for $5.  Bands include: Eskra Sisters, Shifting Gears, Vintage Daze, Traces in Time.  Drink specials, 50/50 raffle, t-shirt sales.  Proceeds to St. Jude Lincoln to Peoria Run.

Warner Bros. To Alter "Hangover 2" DVD
Warner Brothers has announced they will digitally alter the face tattoo on Ed Helms' face when "The Hangover: Part 2" is released to home video.  Tattoo artist S. Victor Whitmill sued the company for copyright infringement. 

MTV Cancels "Skins"
"Skins" won't be back for a second season.  MTV has cancelled the controversial show saying "didn't connect with a U.S. audience" like they hoped.

Daffys-Phapsody_3dLooney Tunes Shorts Coming to Theaters
If you're going to see "Happy Feet 2" in November, you'll get a nice bonus.  Warner Bros. has announced they are creating three 3-D animated shorts featuring the beloved Looney Tunes characters.  Two of the shorts will feature archived recordings of Mel Blanc.  "Daffy's Rhapsody" will play before "Happy Feet 2" and features Elmer Fudd chasing Daffy Duck on stage during a musical performance.
