John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry! 
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.

Christmas Carol: Presented by Lincoln Land Community College Theatre.  Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site.  Tickets at 800-710-9290.

1850's Style Christmas Carol Service: Saturday at 6pm at First Presbyterian Church, 321 S. 7th Street.  The Lincoln's will greet visitors, and The Rev. Dr. Clifford J. Hayes will protray the Reb. Dr. James Smith who was pastor of the church from 1849 - 1856.  Following the service have Mary Lincoln's White Cake in the commons.  This event is free.  An offering will be taken and donated to the Salvation Army.

Bells in Motion: Handbell concert Saturday at 7pm at First Congregational Church.  Sunday at 4pm at First United Methodist Church.  $10 at the door.  www.bellsinmotion.org

Since "Fast Five" came out earlier this year it's grossed more than $625-million, so naturally there will be another.  Ludacris tweeted Thursday night saying "Fast & Furious 6 will begin shooting in 2012."

Most Searched-For Term of the Year
No it wasn't a Kardashaian or even Casey Anthony.  According to Yahoo, the most searched term of 2011 was the iPhone.  Casey Anthony was second on the list followed by Kim Kardashian.

Kris Humphries Files for Annulment
Thursday in Los Angeles Kim Karadashian's husband, Kris Humphries, requested an annulment based on irreconcilable differences and fraud.  No word on what "fraud" means.
