Susan Sarandon Offends Catholics
You'd think after the Hank Williams, Jr. incident people would stay away from Hitler and the Nazis, but no. Over the weekend at the Hamptons Film Festival in New York, Susan Sarandon was talking about sending a copy of the book that inspired her film "Dead Man Walking" to the pope. Then she clarified which Pope by saying, "The last one. Not this Nazi one we have now." The Catholic League's Bill Donohue explained that while the current Pope, Joseph Ratzinger, was forced to join the Hitler Youth movement as a youngster, he deserted the movement unlike others who remained. Donohue said he won't seek an apology from Sarandon because, "she is ignorant and full of hatred to the Catholic Church."
Giuliana Rancic Has Cancer
You've seen her on E! News and on her reality show "Giuliana and Bill," and her fertility issues have been well documented. Now it turns out trying to have a baby may have saved her life. Rancic was just diagnosed with the early stages of breast cancer when her fertility doctor ordered a mammogram. She says she likely could have been a lot sicker had she gotten pregnant before the cancer was found, as pregnancy hormones tend to accelerate cancer cells.
Underage "Hannah Montana" Star Arrested for DUI
Mitchel Musso, who played Oliver Oken on "Hannah Montana," was arrested over the weekend for driving drunk. The 20-year-old was pulled over early Sunday morning, arrested, and released a few hours later.
