John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry! 
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.

"Megamind" Slays the Competition
It was a big weekend for "Megamind" at the box office.  The animated flick featuring the voices of Will Ferrell and Brad Pitt made nearly $50-million.  In second and third it was "Due Date" with $33-million and "Colored Girls" with $20-million.

Debut of "Conan" Tonight
It's finally here!  Conan O'Brien debuts his new talk show tonight on TBS at 10:00pm.  Seth Rogan and Jack White will be his first guests.  The show will air four nights a week: Monday - Thursday.  Other guests lined up for the week include Tom Hanks and John Hamm of "Mad Men". 

Chilean Miner Completes New York City Marathon
He spent 69 days trapped undergound in a mine with 32 other men, but Edison Pena stayed in shape.  Reports say he would run up to six miles underground daily in the dark.  Sunday he completed the New York City Marathon in 5 hours 51 minutes.  TMZ reported he overcame severe knee pain to finish the race.
Other celebrities ran the marathon including Meredith Viera (5h 59m), Al Roker (7h 9m), Bobby Flay (4h 2m), and Anthony Edwards (4h 4m).
