John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

"Law & Order: SVU" Losing a Cast Member
The good news is "Law & Order: SVU" will be back on NBC this fall for a 13th season.  The bad news is Christopher Meloni, who plays Detective Elliot Stabler, will not be.  NBC has not made an official decision, but the website TVLine.com is reporting contract talks broke down and Meloni will not return to the show.  Mariska Hargitay, who plays Meloni's fellow detective on the show, will remain.  Her contract was not affected.

"X Factor" Fires a Judge Before The Show Even Airs
The show doesn't even debut until September, but someone has already been fired.  Simon Cowell's show, "X Factor," got rid of British judge Cheryl Cole.  TMZ says she was dumped for a couple of reasons.  1. Producers were concerned her accent was too thick for Americans to understand.
2. She didn't click with fellow judge, Paula Abdul.
Nicole Scherzinger will take her place and join Abdul, Cowell, and L.A. Reid at the judges table.
