John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

First "Star" Booted from DWTS
Little known contestant "Psycho" "Mike Catherwood was the first contestant eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" on last night's show.  He joined Sugar Ray Leonard and Wendy Williams in the bottom three.  All the hype about Chris Brown's performance on the show turned out to be nothing.  Brown performed two of his hits with no drama.

You'll Have To Wait for "Mad Men"
It's a good thing "Mad Men" season 4 came out on DVD yesterday, because it's all you're going to have for a while.  AMC has announced season 5 of the show will not air this summer as planned and will instead be delayed until 2012.  Ongoing negotiations with the show creator are slowing things up.

Rosie O'Donnell Taking Over Oprah's Studio
Oprah's show ends in May, but the studio won't be empty for long.  Rosie O'Donnell will return to the role of talk show host on her own show, and she'll be using Oprah's studio in Chicago to do it.  A new set is being built, and the show will air on Oprah's network.

Elton John Week On "Idol"
Tonight on "American Idol" the contestants will tackle the songs of Elton John.  This isn't the first time.  Back in season 3 the contestants sang Elton John songs too.

"The Wiz" at Springfield High School
April 1-3 Springfield High School students present "The Wiz" at Schnirring Auditorium on the campus of Springfield High.  Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm.  Tickets are available at 525-3100 and are $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.
Some of the cast stopped by the studio this morning to talk (and sing) about the show.  We thought we'd share some of the video.
