Gilbert Gottfried Apologizes
After getting fired for his insensitive tweets about the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan, Gilbert Gottfried is saying he's sorry. Gottfried, the voice of the Alfac duck, said in a statement yesterday, "I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by my attemt at humor regarding the tragedy in Japan. I meant no disrespect, and my thoughts are with the victims and their families."
Charlie Sheen Tour Expands
Charlie Sheen has added five more cities to his live tour: Cleveland, Columbus, New York, Boston, and Wallingford, Connecticut. He already sold out shows in Detroit and Chicago. Still, no one is quite sure what the show will actually be.
Tom Hanks to Play Hero Captain
Remember Captain Richard Phillips? He was the captain of the Maersk Alabama, the ship that was hijacked by Somail pirates back in 2009. Phillips was taken hostage to spare his crew, and after three days was saved by Navy SEALs. Deadline.com is reporting Tom Hanks will play the role of Captain Phillips in an upcoming Sony film about the event. The same group who produced "The Social Network" will produce this film.
