The Infomercial Juicer Guy Has Died
If you're under the age of 40, you probably only know him as that old guy who sells a juicer on infomercials. Jack LaLanne has died at the age of 96. The fitness guru continued his daily workouts until the died of respiratory failure Sunday.
More Advertisers Pull From "Skins"
MTV may have a problem on their hands. Their new show "Skins" is causing a lot of controversey because some say it is way too racy. The Parents Television Council has asked for investigation into the show for possible child pornography violations. Now three advertisers have pulled their ads: Wrigley, Taco Bell, and General Motors. The cable network says there's nothing illicit about "Skins," and says the show complies with government laws and community standards.
Natalie Portman Is Having a Good Month
She just won a Golden Globe, she's got a baby on the way, and now her latest film is number one at the box office. "No Strings Attached" pulled in $20.3-million over the weekend to be in first place. In second place it was "The Green Hornet", and in third it was "The Dilemma".
Oprah Reveals Her Big Secret Today
Just when we thought there was nothing else to know about Oprah, she's telling us something new today. She says in a promo for the show today, "I was keeping a family secret for months, and on Monday you're going to hear it straight from me." She added, "I thought I'd seen it all. But this, my friends, is the miracle of all miracles."
Oscar Nominations
Tomorrow is the big day for Hollywood. The Oscar nominations will be announced tomorrow morning in Beverly Hills. The award ceremony will be held February 27th.
