John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

NBC Won't Be Paying Any Fines for Flipping the Bird
Looks like NBC learned a lesson from the "wardrobe malfunction" of a few years ago.  That Super Bowl halftime incident cost CBS over $500,000 in fines, although a federal appeals court recently threw that out.  This time the NFL was responsible to the halftime performance, and TMZ says they had M.I.A. sign a contract saying she would pay any fines that came down as a result of the halftime show.  No word yet from the FCC on what will happen.

Woman Arrested In Extortion Plot Over "19 Kids and Counting"
This story is just strange.  According to the Associated Press Teresa Hunt of Bettendorf, Iowa was arrested in an extortion plot.  Hunt allegedly tried to extort Discovery Communications which is the parent company of TLC network.  She wanted them to either cancel the show "19 Kids and Counting" or pay her $10,000.  By doing one or the other she would not release photos of cast member in "apparently intimate situations" with an older man.  Now Radar Online is reporting the cast member Hunt was referring to is Amy Duggar, a niece of Jim Bob Duggar.  Amy Duggar denies an inappropriate relationship, and the Duggar family has not commented.
