M.I.A Flips the Bird During the Halftime Show
Madonna kept her promise. There were no wardrobe malfunctions during the Super Bowl halftime show this year. However, there was a malfunction of another sort. Hip-hop performer M.I.A. flipped the bird to the world when she and Nicki Minaj joined Madonna on stage during the show. No word on what will happen, but the wardrobe malfunction resulted in a $550,000 fine for CBS.
"Chronicle" Wins the Weekend
I think this is the first time a Daniel Radcliffe film hasn't opened at number one. Of course, usually if it's a Daniel Radcliffe film it's "Harry Potter." Not this time. Radcliffe's latest, "Woman in Black" came in second at the box office this weekend with $21-million. It was bested by "Chronicle" with $22-million. Coming in third was "The Grey" with $9.5-million.
Demi Moore in Treatment Center
After being hospitalized in January, E! News is reporting Demi Moore has checked into the Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah. A source says she's on "total lockdown" only speaking to a small group of people. "Us Weekly" reports she began receiving treatment late last week.
L.A. Reid Back for "X Factor" Second Season
After a mass firing last week, L.A. Reid has signed on for a second season. Looks like Reid and Simon Cowell will be the only ones returning. No word on who will replace Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, and Steve Jones. There are rumors that Beyonce and Mariah Carey are being courted.
