After 15 years, we're down to the last week. July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning. There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business. She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital. It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week. Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet.
Academy Awards Crowns Silent Best Picture
"The Artist" was the big winner at the Oscars Sunday winning Best Picture and Best Director. The show, hosted by Billy Crystal, also awarded a third Oscar to Meryl Streep for "The Iron Lady." For the full list of winners click here.
There wasn't a whole lot of excitement during the show, but before the show on the red carpet there was. Sacha Baron Cohen showed up dressed as a dictator for his upcoming film "The Dictator." While talking to Ryan Seacrest he spilled the fake ashes of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il.
Did Jennifer Lopez Have a Wardrobe Malfunction?
It depends on who you ask. Some say that while she presented an award there was a bit of a slip. However her stylist, Mariel Haenn, says no way. She said to "People," "The dress fit perfectly to every inch. While the dress did give the illusion of sheer-ness, joke's on everyone who wishes they saw something."
Adam Sandler Now Holds a Record
It's probably not one he's too happy about, but Adam Sandler now holds the record for the most Razzie nominations. The Razzies celebrate the worst in film. Sandler received eleven nods, most of them for "Jack and Jill." In the film, he plays both a male and female character, so he's up for both worst actor and worst actress. The Razzies will be handed out April 1st.
"Potter" Author Writing for Adults
I guess technically the "Harry Potter" series of books wasn't aimed at adults, but I sure loved them. J.K. Rowling, author of the books, has signed a deal with a new publisher and is working on a new book aimed at adults. While she doesn't say what the book will be about, she does say it will be very different from the Harry Potter series.
