You can hear us weekdays 6am - 10am on 104.5 WFMB in Springfield. John Spalding...has been on the radio in Springfield for over 30 years. John's been doing the morning show on 104.5 WFMB in 1995, and he's been stuck there ever since. Michele MItchell...has been doing the morning show with John since 1998...they are the longest-running morning show in Springfield.

"Soul Train" Host Dead
Remember "Soul Train?" It was on after "American Bandstand" on Saturday mornings, and definitely had its own style: gold lame body suits, big afros, and platform shoes. The host of the show, Don Cornelius, has died in an apparent suicide. He was 75 years old. Cornelius was discovered when he was working as a Chicago police officer. Cornelius pulled over a radio personality named Ed Cobb, and Cobb was so impressed with his voice he invited him to his station. From there Cornelius made a demo tape and got hired as a radio announcer.
First Lady Does Push-Ups On "Ellen"
On today's "Ellen Degeneres Show" the first lady proves she's physically fit by doing 25 push-ups in front of the live audience. DeGenere challanged Michelle Obama, however DeGeneres says, "I thought it wouldn't be good to show off the First Lady so I stopped."
Who Stole The Les Miserables Role from Taylor Swift?
Everyone thought Taylor Swift was a lock to play Eponine in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Les Miserables, but we were all wrong. The part has gone to Samantha Banks, who played the role for a year in London. Banks is quite famous overseas as she came in third on a British singing competition "I'd Do Anything." Here's Banks singing "On My Own" in the 25th anniversary performance of Les Mis in London.

The film hasn't even aired yet, and people are already up in arms about it. "Game Changer," the HBO film about the 2008 presidential campaign of John McCain and Sarah Palin. It's got a great cast: Ed Harris as John McCain and Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin.
