New Jersey Mayor Receives an Award for Saying No to "Jersey Shore"
This just made me laugh. The mayor of Hoboken, New Jersey, Dawn Zimmer, has received an award from the Italian-American One Voice Coalition. Why? Because Zimmer denied a permit to allow a "Jersey Shore" spin off show in Hoboken. The show will still go on. It will just go on in a different New Jersey city.
"Simpsons" 500th Episode Airs Sunday
Back in 1989 who could have predicted that "The Simpsons" would still be on TV in 2012? Not me. But the series is still going and is airing it's 500th episode on Sunday. According to MSNBC.com, there were a conference call Wednesday with the executive producer of the show. He revealed that last fall when FOX was negotiating contracts with the voice talent on the show, they created a finale episode in case things didn't work out. In fact, you've already seen it. It aired December 11 and was called "Holidays of Future Passed." It was an episode that fast forwarded the Simpson's 30 years into the future.
