John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

American Airlines Tells Their Side of the Alec Baldwin Story
Alex Baldwin always seems to be in some sort of trouble.  Now he's in a battle of words with American Airlines.  Tuesday, Baldwin was forcred off a flight and via Twitter he proceeded to rip American Airlines for what he deemed unfair treatment.  Now American has told their side of the story.  On American's Facebook page they wrote,“Since an extremely vocal customer has publicly identified himself as being removed from an American Airlines flight on Tuesday, Dec. 6, we have elected to provide the actual facts of the matter,” the airline posted on its Facebook page. “This passenger declined to turn off his cell phone when asked to do so at the appropriate time."
“The passenger ultimately stood up (with the seat belt light still on for departure) and took his phone into the plane’s lavatory. He slammed the lavatory door so hard, the cockpit crew heard it and became alarmed, even with the cockpit door closed and locked,” American wrote.  The airlines said after flight attendants were asked to check on the situation, “the passenger was extremely rude to the crew, calling them inappropriate names and using offensive language. Given the facts above, the passenger was removed from the flight and denied boarding.”

"Mythbusters" Production Suspended After Cannonball Accident
Oops.  The Discovery Channel has suspsended production on the popular show "Mythbusters" after an accident with a cannonball.  Producers were testing a cannon at a bomb range.  The cannonball was supposed to travel through several barrels of water and a cinder block wall, but instead wound up striking something that made it shoot over the hillside and into a residential area.  It struck a house, bounced off a roof, and crashed into a minivan.  Luckily, no one was hurt.  The show is suspended while the network investigates the incident.
