John Spalding...has been on the radio in Springfield for over 30 years. John's been doing the morning show on 104.5 WFMB in 1995, and he's been stuck there ever since.
Michele MItchell...has been doing the morning show with John since 1998...they are the longest-running morning show in Springfield.

ThThe Weekend Marquee for January 14, 2011

Troy Thirdgill: Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and 9:30pm at Donnie B's Comedy Club.  Call 391-JOKE for tickets.

Winterfreeze Regional Chili Cookoff: Sunday at the KC Hall at Iles & Meadowbrook Roads.  Doors open at Noon, music from Seeing Daylight at 1pm.  $5 admission goes to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  There will also be a 50/50 drawing that benefits St. Jude.  Bears game will be on in Casey's Pub.
Also, the first 15 people to sign up to become a Partner in Hope (monthly donation to St. Jude of $20 or more) will receive 2 tickets and limo transportation to Miranda Lambert in St. Louis on February 24th. 

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee: Presented by the Springfield Theatre Centre at the Hoogland Center for the Arts.  Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm.  $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and children.  Call 523-2787 or visit www.hcfta.org

Justin Bieber Hospitalized
He's okay, he's okay.  Teen heart throb Justin Bieber was hospitalized Wednesday while the set of "CSI".  Bieber's rep said it was a mild allergic reaction, and that the star was back on the set Thursday.  Now we can all breathe a big sigh of relief.  Bieber will be a presenter at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards.

"Kennedys" Drama Continues
Looks like we may never see the mini-series "The Kennedys".  Starring Greg Kinnear and Katie Holmes, the mini-series was originally produced for the History Channel.  When the History Channel declined to air it was shopped around.  Now it's been rejected by HBO, FX, Starz, and now Showtime. 

"Survivor" Brings Back Two Ultimate Villains
It's official...Boston Rob and Russel Hantz will be on the new season of Survivor that starts February 16th.  These two are the only familiar faces on the show that features a new twist: Redeption Island.  It's an opportunity for contestants who have been voted out to get back in the game.
