Michele's Makeup Blog

I love makeup!  And whether you love makeup or not, chances are you wear it at least sometimes.  Don't you want to make sure you're getting the best value for your $$$?  That's what this makeup blog is all about.
I try products and services and give you an honest review.  From drug stores to department stores, I try different brands at different price points to give you the scoop.

A Little About My Perspective...
- Quality is more important than quantity.
- Just because it costs more doesn't mean it's better.
- Multitasking products are a very good thing.
- Have fun...if a look doesn't work a little soap and water makes it all better.

Smoothness Like You Wouldn't Believe

the microdeliveryI've been on a Philosophy kick lately.  No, I'm not talking about Socrates and Plato.  I'm talking about Philosophy skin care.  Now that the Ulta store is open here in Springfield I don't have to order it by mail or drive to St. Louis to get it!  Whoo hoo!

While I regularly use four different Philosophy products, there's one I'm particularly in love with lately...The Microdelivery.

You start by scooping up a teaspoon size of the orange resurfacing cyrstals.  They smell like oranges...I love the smell!  You massage it all over your face.  Then you put a teaspoon size amount of the lactic/salicylic acid activating gel in your palm and start massaging that on top of the crystals.  It creates a warming senection and foams just a little bit.  You leave it on for a few minutes then rinse off.

What I get is the smoothest, most wonderful feeling skin.  It is like a baby's butt!  I like to use it when my skin feels dirtier than usual and when I think it's getting a little dull.  This product makes my skin feel like new skin.  I would recommend it to anyone.  I typically use it a couple times a month.

This is yet another Philosophy product I've fallen in love with.  My mother-in-law is now hooked on Philosophy too.  She told me the other day that their "Hope in a Jar" is the best moisturizer she's ever used.
