I love makeup! And whether you love makeup or not, chances are you wear it at least sometimes. Don't you want to make sure you're getting the best value for your $$$? That's what this makeup blog is all about.
I try products and services and give you an honest review. From drug stores to department stores, I try different brands at different price points to give you the scoop.
A Little About My Perspective...
- Quality is more important than quantity.
- Just because it costs more doesn't mean it's better.
- Multitasking products are a very good thing.
- Have fun...if a look doesn't work a little soap and water makes it all better.
Make-Up Junkies, This is for You!

If you're a makeup junkie like me, then you love trying new products. The thing is, I don't want to waste my money on the products that don't work. That's why I love the New Beauty Test Tube!
The New Beauty Test Tube is a package you get in the mail four times a year for about $30 per shipment. Inside each package you'll find full size and deluxe sample sizes of several different products. Some will be make-up, some hair products, some skin care. It's the perfect way to try several products and see what you like before committing to a full-size amount.
I just received my second New Beauty Test Tube, and inside were products from Mally Beauty, Tarte, Philosophy, Kate Somerville, Nick Chavez, Calista Tools, Ole Henriksen, and First Aid Beauty. The Mally mascara and the Tarte eyeliner are both full-size products, while the rest are deluxe sample sizes. As you can see in the photo, you get plenty of product so you can use the products several times and decide whether you like them.
You also get New Beauty magazine with your shipment. For me, the magazine is not an incentive to buy. In fact, I throw it away when I get it. I'm not a fan. Why? The entire magazine is about all the things that are wrong with us (women) physically and all the crazy lengths we should go to to fix them. I think as wemen we already beat up on ourselves enough. I think this magazine makes it worse. Then again, you may totally disagree and like the magazine.
I just love the products though! And the value of the products you receive is always more then the price. There a couple of ways you can get in on this quarterly goody bag. They offer it on QVC or the New Beauty Test Tube website.
