John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

Uma Thurman's Daughter Has a Cruel and Unusual Name
Uma Thurman and her man had a baby on July 15th...a little girl.  They are just now revealing the name.  My guess is because it took them this long to actually write it down.  Here we go: Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.  She goes by Luna.  Thurman isn't explaining the meaning behind the ridiculously long name, her rep says, "Each name has a special reason and meaning to her mother and father."

Newsweek Going all Digital By Year's End
It's a sign of the times.  Newsweek announced today that it is moving to an all-digital format.  The December 31st issue will be the last printed publication for Newsweek.  According to Tina Brown, editor-in-chief, the digital version will be called Newsweek Global, and you will still need a subscription to read it.  Brown also said, "Regrettably we anticipate staff reductions and the streamlining of our editorial and business operations both here and in the U.S. and internationally."
