"Veronica Mars" a Go Due to Kickstarter Campaign
Now this is an interesting way to get a movie made...show the movie studio the fans will come by letting them fund part of the film. That's exactly how the TV show "Veronica Mars" is coming to the big screen. The show aired for three seasons on UPN and CW before ending in 2007, but fans have always clamored for more. So the creator of the show set up a kickstarter fundraiser page with the message that Warner Brothers would let them make a movie if they could prove there was enough interest. In less than 24-hours the $2-million goal was met. Filming will begin this summer, and they're looking toward a 2014 release.
Nicki Minaj Arrives Late to the Live "American Idol"
If you watched "American Idol" last night you may have noticed one judge was missing for part of the show. Nicki Minaj was absent from the first 15 minutes of the show. According to Ryan Seacrest it was due to traffic. Minaj just missed the first performer of the night.
"Kardashian" Producer Deposition Reveals Marriage May Indeed Have Been Fake
Many have thought for a long time that Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kris Humphries was a fake, and Humphries himself claimed the marriage was a fraud. Now there's even more evidence the marriage was a sham. During a deposition February 4th Russell Jay, producer of the show, revealed key romantic moments on the show were scripted, edited, or reshot. One of them was his surprise proposal...Kardashian didn't like the first take. In another episode Kardashian is angry with Humphries over a party he throws in their hotel room without her knowledge. Turns out she knew about it all and was even in the hotel at the time of the party. Their divorce trial starts May 6th.
