After 15 years, we're down to the last week. July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning. There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business. She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital. It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week. Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet.
Nora Ephron Dead at 71
If you don't know her name, you definitely know her movies. "When Harry Met Sally," "Sleepless in Seattle," "Julie & Julie," and "You've Got Mail" just to name a few. Nora Ephron died Wednesday at a hospital in New York reportedly from complications of a blood disorder. A writer, producer, and director, she was one of the most powerful women in Hollywood. Billy Crystal, who played Harry in "When Harry Met Sally" said he was "very lucky to say her words." While Tom Hanks who starred in "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail" said that he and his wife were "so very sad" to lose a friend "who brought so much joy to all were lucky enough to know her."
Here probably the greatest scene of all the Nora Ephron films...

Did Charlie Sheen Trash a Hotel Room Or Not?
Charlie Sheen has been largely quiet lately, seemingly on good behavior. However there are conflicting reports about his activities over the weekend. "Us Weekly" reports the actor was in NYC with his ex-wife Denise Richards and their kids while she promoted a film, and a source says Sheen abandoned his family for most of the weekend while partying at the Ritz-Carlton. The source says Sheen trashed the room and was told never to visit a Ritz property again. However, Sheen's rep says he didn't do it saying, "Charlie did not trash his hotel room...Charlie was not told that he is no longer welcome at the Ritz Carlton." Sheen's rep isn't the only one denying the bad behavior. PR for the hotel said, "There has been no issue there. Mr. Sheen is absolutely welcome in any Ritz-Carlton hotel in the portfolio."
