John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

Monsters Beat Zombies at the Box Office
Brad Pitt and his zombies couldn't fend off Pixar at the movies this weekend.  "Monsters University" came out on top with $82-million while "World War Z" pulled in $66-million.  "Man of Steel" was third with $41.2-million.

Funeral Plans for Gandolfini
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning in New York for actor James Gandolfini, 51, who died of a heart attack while in Italy last week.

No More Paula Deen on Food Network
Paula Deen has had a very bad week.  The celebrity chef's contract did not get renewed by the channel that made her a star, the Food Network.  Now QVC Vice President Paul Capelli says the shopping channel is looking into the situation to see if Deen will continue to sell her products on their channel.  The firestorm started when Deen's comments about using the N-word during a deposition in a pending lawsuit came to light.

Jim Carrey Pulls Support from His Latest Film Over Violence
He said he's had a "change of heart" and cannot support the violence level of his film.  Actor Jim Carrey tweeted Sunday night saying he filmed "Kick-Ass 2" a month before the murders at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut.  He wrote, "I meant to say my apologies to others involve with the film.  I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart."

And the Most Pirated TV Show Is...
Okay this doesn't make any sense to me.  The number one most illegally downloaded show, according to TorrentFreak is "Game of Thrones" on HBO.  That makes sense, because you have to subscribe to HBO.  However, #2 and #3 are "Big Bang Theory" and "How I Met Your Mother" respectively.  They are network shows...free to watch.  So explain that.
