John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry! 
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.

"Walking Dead" Season 3 Back in October
Season 3 of AMC's incredibly popular "Walking Dead" will return for 16 episodes in October.  However, the season will be split into two parts.  The first eight episode run will premiere October 14th at 8pm.  The second half of the season will pick back up in February.  Both "The Talking Dead" and "Comic Book Men" will also be back for 16 episodes.

"Ice Age" Below Expectations But Still #1
The fourth installment of the "Ice Age" franchise, "Ice Age: Continental Drift," knocked "The Amazing Spider-Man" out of the top spot at the box office this weekend.  "Ice Age" made $46-million, lower than the $60-million that was predicted but still enough to be number one.  The latest Spider-Man made $35-million, while "Ted" was third with another $22.1-million.

Comic-Con 2012 Wraps
The annual pop-culture feast known as Comic-Con is over.  Attendees got their first look at the next "Twilight" film and the new armor for "Iron Man 3," among other things.

Autopsy Underway for Sylvester Stallone's Son
No word yet on a cause of death for the 36-year-old first-born son of actor Sylvester Stallone.  Sage Moonblood Stallone was found dead last Friday in his home.  Law enforcement found no signs of foul play or a suicide note.  A publicist for Sylvester Stallone says the actor is "devastated and grief-stricken" over the sudden loss.  Sage appeared alongside his father in "Rocky 5" playing Rocky Balboa, Jr.   He also worked as a director and screenwriters.

Katie Holmes Enrolls Suri in Catholic School
As we all speculate over the reasons behind the lightning-speed divorce of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, many believe religion had a lot to do with it.  Now, fuel has been added to that fire.  E! is reporting Holmes has enrolled Suri in Manhattan's Convent of the Sacred Heart Catholic School.  The school reportedly costs $38,000 a year and includes former students Caroline Kennedy, Lady Gaga, and Nicky Hilton.

Aretha Franklin Expresses Interest in Being an "Idol" Judge
Just days after both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez confirmed they will not be returning for the next season of "American Idol," the Queen of Soul has thrown her hat into the ring.  A recent email question asked if they was interested in being on the show, and she said, "Yes, I am interested as judge!"  No comment from producers

-  After a turbulent year, Charlie Sheen has signed off from Twitter.  His final tweet read, "Reach for the stars everyone. Dogspeed cadre.  c out."
- Kelsey Grammer and wife welcomed a baby girl Friday, but it was bittersweet.  The couple had been expecting twins but lost their son in a miscarriage shortly after they learned Kayte was carrying two babies.
