Golden Globes Draw Big Audience
The Golden Globes had a big night Sunday with almost 20-million viewers. That's the biggest audience for the show in six years and the top award show of the season beating the Emmys, the American Music Awards, and the CMA Awards.
Ariel Won't Be Returning to Theaters
Disney had planned to release "The Little Mermaid" in 3D at theaters in September, but the plans have been scrapped. Previous 3D releases of "Finding Nemo" and "Beauty and the Beast" have fallen flat, so Disney made the decision to cancel the release. Disney did, however, announce release dates for some big films. The fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" will be out in July of 2015. "The Muppets 2" will be out in March of 2014, and "Maleficent" will be out in July of 2014 starring Angelina Jolie as the witch who caused Sleeping Beauty to fall into her sleep.
Oprah Weighs In on Lance Armstrong Interview
Monday in Austin, Texas, Lance Armstrong sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey. Though the interview doesn't air until Thursday, it's been widely reported Armstrong admitting to doping. Now Winfrey is sharing her thoughts on the interview. She told CBS "This Morning" Armstrong was very forthcoming in answering questions, but he did not coming clean in the manner she expected during the interview.
