It was a great night for Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, at the Miss Universe pageant. She won the whole thing beating 88 other women from around the world at the Planet Hollywood Casino.
Claire Danes Is a Mommy
The producers managed to hide the pregnancy during this season of "Homeland," but Claire Danes was pregnant. And finally Monday Danes and her husband, Hugh Dancy, welcomed their baby boy - Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy. It's their first child.
Sam Donaldson Arrested for DUI
He used to report the news, now he's in the news. ABC newsman Sam Donaldson was arrested for DUI earlier this month in Delaware. The 78-year-old was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. No comment from ABC.
Discovery Channel Dropping Two Gun Shows
Say goodbye to "Ted Nugent's Gun Country" and "American Guns" on the Discovery Channel. Both shows are getting the ax from the network. The Nugent show, according to an unnamed spokesperson for the channel, did not do well in the ratings.
NBC Moving the "Tonight Show" up 1 Minute
Does anyone else think this is ridiculous? NBC seems to be concerned that Jimmy Kimmel's show will be a direct competitor to Jay Leno starting January 8th when Kimmel's show will start at 11:35pm eastern. In response, NBC is changing the start time of "The Tonight Show" to 11:34pm...one minute earlier. Kimmel doesn't seem too worried about it saying it's just "a trick designed to bring up ratings in the first month.
