"The Voice" Adds Some Twists for Season Three
Season 3 of "The Voice" is shaking things up. Naturally the show is keeping the blind auditions and all four of its original judges, but this season the judges will be able to steal contestants from one another during the second phase of the battle rounds. There will also be a new knockout round. Season 3 of the show premieres September 10th on NBC.
More Fallout for Chad Johnson
He's already been dropped by the Miami Dolphins, and now it looks like VH1 is dropping Chad Johnson as well. The network announced Monday it's cancelling John's Show "Ev & Ocho" that was scheduled to premiere September 3rd. This in response to Johnson's arrest for domestic violence. Johnson is accused of head-butting his wife during an argument over the weekend.
Kristin Chenoweth Leaves "The Good Wife"
Last month we told you Kristin Chenoweth suffered an injury after being struck by falling lighting equipment on the set of "The Good Wife" and was hospitalized. Now, she says she's unable to return to the show as she is slowly recovering. Chenoweth was to have a recurring role on the show. CBS says they are not going to recast her role and would love to have her back when she's "feeling better."
New Movies Out Today
It's shark week on the Discovery Channel, so it's the perfect time to pick up the ultimate shark movie. "Jaws" is out on Blu-ray for the first time and includes more than four hours of extras.
"The Hunger Games" is also available Saturday.
Record Numbers Watch the Olympics
Even with all the complaining, it seems NBC did quite well with their Olympics coverage. The London Olympics were the most-watched of all time. More than 219-million Americans tuned in during the games. And it wasn't just on TV that NBC was setting records. TheWrap.com says NBC set records on their website as well.
