"Hunger Games" Makes It Three In a Row
Even the return of "Titanic" and an "American Reunion" couldn't keep the "Hunger Games" down at the box office this weekend. The film pulled in $33.5-million to stay at number one for a third week. "American Reunion" took in $21.5-million, while "Titanic 3D" made $17.4-million to come in third.
Former Nickelodeon TV Star Arrested
Actress Amanda Bynes got into a bit of trouble Friday morning. According to the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department, Bynes struck a police car that was stopped at an intersection around 3am. Police say she hit the car from behind as she tried to pass it. Bynes was arrested for driving under the influence. This isn't the only recent driving incident Bynes has had. Last month she reportedly sped away from an officer before he could hand her a ticket for allegedly talking on her cell phone while driving. Bynes showed up at the police station later in the day to sign the ticket.
Mike Wallace Dies
He was one of the founding hosts and hosted "60 Minutes" for nearly 50 years. Mike Wallace has died at the age of 93. He was known for his tough interview style and once told reporters that if he could write his own epigraph it would read, "Tough But Fair."
Enormously Popular Artist, Thomas Kinkade, Dies
It was a surprise to hear that artist Thomas Kinkade died last Friday at the age of 54. An autopsy is scheduled for today to determine what caused his death. Kinkade was best known for his oil prints of cottage and garden scenery.
