John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

Did Mariah Carey Almost Get Dumped By "Idol"
It's been a rough year in the ratings for "American Idol."  They continue to fall, and last week the show was beaten by reruns of "Big Bang Theory."  Ouch!  Now "The Hollywood Reporter" says those low ratings had "Idol" producers considering a plan to oust Mariah Carey and bring back former judge Jennifer Lopez.  Carey reportedly said she would sue if they did that, so they producers backed off.  A Fox spokesperson says it's "just another ridiculous "Idol" judge rumor."

"People" Picks Most Beautiful Woman
Last week the Star magazine chose her as the most hated celebrity.  This week is looking a lot better for Gwyneth Paltrow.  She's been chosen by "People" as the World's Most Beautiful Woman.

"The Rock" Emergency Surgery
Dwayne Johnson was a no-show at the premiere of his new film "Pain & Gain" Monday in L.A.  However, he was experiencing some pain.  He was having emergency hernia surgery.  The 40-year-old suffered the injury during a wrestling match against John Cena earlier this month.  Johnson tweeted following the surgery, "Surgery a success.  Superman is on the mend."
Vanilla Ice Is Going Amish
Remember Vanilla Ice?  Well now he flips houses and has had a successful show on DIY called "The Vanilla Ice Project" for the past three seasons.  Now, however, he's trying something new.  DIY has announced a new unscripted series that will debut this year called "Vanilla Ice Goes Amish."  According to the network "With no frills, no music, and no power tools, Vanilla Ice lives and learns from the best craftsman in the business - the Amish."  No word yet on a premiere date.
