Dave Marsh

Hi, I'm Dave Marsh-Program Director and host of "The Ride" home weekday afternoons 3-7p on 104.5 WFMB.

Here's just a little bit about me.  I grew up in a tiny little town in Central Wisconsin.  Got my degree in Broadcast Journalism at UW-River Falls and have been doing radio in some way shape or form since 1977.  I've lived in a variety of locations including Colorado Springs, Lincoln, NE and near Madison, WI.  I love radio as a career and the contact we have with the artists.
Hobbies include:  Fishing, motorcycles (when I can borrow one), outdoor activities, gardening, landscaping and yard work.
Musical choices:  Everything from George Strait to Pink Floyd.  Love most kinds of music.
TV:  24, Fringe, House, SciFi-Star Trek and a steady diet of NatGeo, History, Discovery and Science Channels
Sports:  Packers, Brewers, Bucks--but I have a healthy respect for the Cardinals

I love hearing from our wayward listeners on line at wfmb.com.  Shoot me an email and let me know where you are.

» Four The Win:The four CMA Music Festival nightly concerts at LP Field were sellouts for the second year in a row, with CMA estimating average daily attendance at 65,000. That number is on par with the 2010 figure, which represented a 16.7% increase over 2009's daily attendance of 56,000. Contributing to this year's figure is a record turnout of 25,000 Saturday (6/11) at the Chevrolet Riverfront Park. "To meet the outstanding sellout of 2010 again in 2011 speaks volumes about the strength of this event, the dedication of our fans, the support of our local community, and the popularity of our music and artists," CMA CEO Steve Moore says. Tickets for the 2012 CMA Music Festival (June 7-10) go on sale July 30.

» Prize To The Challenge:Saturday's (6/11) City Of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge raised more than $100,000 for the organization's efforts to combat life-threatening diseases. Dierks Bentley, Vince Gill, David Nail, Jake Owen and American Idol's Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery were among the players.
