John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

Top Secret "Breaking Bad" Script Stolen
If you're a fan of the AMC show "Breaking Bad," you want to know the fate of Walter White after the cliffhanger last season.  At least one person already knows.  Apparently they stole a script from star of the show Bryan Cranston.  According to KOAT-TV in Albuquerque, Cranston reported a bag was stolen from his car March 1st that contained an iPad and the script.  Then one of Cranston's employees received an anonymous tip from a person saying they overheard a guy in a bar bragging about finding the script.  That man's been arrested, but the script is still missing.  "Breaking Bad" concludes its final season this summer.

Jodi Arias Movie in the Works
It doesn't surprise me that there's a movie based on Jodi Arias who is currently on trial for murder.  What surprises me is that Lifetime is developing the movie instead of HLN.  (These days it's practically Jodi Arias all the time on HLN.)  Lifetime has had a good success making movies from current events in the courts.  In January "Prosecuting Casey Anthony" aired starring Rob Lowe.  Lowe also starred as Drew Peterson in "Drew Peterson: Untouchable."  So don't be surprised if Lowe shows up in this one too.

Photo: Some say the resemblance between Obama and Satan on last night's "The Bible" is way too close to be a coincidence. What do you think?“The Bible” Producers Say Satan/Obama Connection is Nonsense
Sunday when Satan showed up on the miniseries “The Bible” he caused quite a stir.  Many were struck by his apparent resemblance to the President.  Now the producers of the show are talking.  Mark Burnett and Roma Downey call it “utter nonsense” in the statement they released Monday.  They added that the actor who played Satan has “previously played parts in several Biblical epics – including Satanic characters long before Barack Obama was elected as our President.”  The History Channel also weighed in saying it has “the highest respect for President Obama” and called it “unfortunate that anyone made this false connection.

Oh I hope they do it in their “X-Men” costumes.  Patrick Stewart is getting married, and his “X-Men” co-star, Sir Ian McKellen, told Britain’s “The Jonathan Ross Show” he will be officiating at the wedding.  Stewart plays Professor X  and McKellen plays Magneto in the “X-Men” movies.  The two are rivals in the films.

Omarosa Planning to Sue LaToya Jackson Over Comments on “Celebrity Apprentice”
It was awfully contentious on Sunday night’s “Celebrity Apprentice.”  (Isn’t it always?)  It was even worse than usual between La Toya Jackson and Omarosa.  First a little back story…Omarosa was engaged to actor Michael Clarke Duncan.  He died last year of a heart attack.  During Sunday night’s show Jackson and Omarosa were fighting (again) and Jackson said this to the camera, “Omarosa’s fiancé passed away not long ago.  He had a heart attack, I’m sure she gave it to him.”  She also had this to say, “Omarosa is the most evil person I have ever met.  She’s a no good, conniving, scheming, cut-throat, probably pulled the cord on Michael Duncan Clarke.”  Now Omarosa’s lawyer tells Radar she plans to sue Jackson for defamation.

"Veronica Mars" a Go Due to Kickstarter Campaign
Now this is an interesting way to get a movie made...show the movie studio the fans will come by letting them fund part of the film.  That's exactly how the TV show "Veronica Mars" is coming to the big screen.  The show aired for three seasons on UPN and CW before ending in 2007, but fans have always clamored for more.  So the creator of the show set up a kickstarter fundraiser page with the message that Warner Brothers would let them make a movie if they could prove there was enough interest.  In less than 24-hours the $2-million goal was met.  Filming will begin this summer, and they're looking toward a 2014 release.
