John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.
Michele would LOVE to hear from you this week.  Write on the John & Michele Facebook page, email her, or tweet

Adele To Sing James Bond Theme Song for "Skyfall"
Just when you thought James Bond, or Adele for that matter, couldn't get any bigger.  Now it's been announced that Adele will sing "The Sky is Falling" from the film.  We should be able to hear it in early October.

Gene Simmons' Daughter Auditions for "X Factor"
It's hard to stay anonymous when your dad is Gene Simmons of Kiss.  Sophie wasn't able to manage it, and the judges of "X Factor" were able to figure out her background before she auditioned with an Adele song.  She managed to make it through to the next round getting three of the four judges.  L.A. Reid wasn't too impressed, but the other three sent her through.    What do you think?

More "Honey Boo Boo" Confirmed
Despite all my hopes, it looks like "Honey Boo Boo" isn't going away any time soon.  TLC confirms it has greenlit more episodes, though they're not saying exactly how many.  We do know there will be three holiday specials for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Three Founding Members of the Beach Boys Dumped
Now this just doesn't seem right.  The Beach Boys recently reunited to mark the 50th anniversary of the group, but now it looks as if three of the founding members of the group have been dismissed.  To add insult to injury, they found out about it through a public statement by Mike Love.  The statement said "the post 50th anniversary configuration will not include Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, and David Marks.  Wilson had this to say, "I'm disappointed and can't understand why he doesn't want to tour with Al, David, and me.  We are out here having so much fun.  After all, we are the real Beach Boys.

And The First Celeb Booted from DWTS Is....
It was a short run for Pamela Anderson on the all-star season of "Dancing with the Stars."  Anderson became the first celebrity to get the old heave ho.  On the other end of the spectrum, Emmitt Smith had the highest score from the judges this week.

ABC Announces a New Bachelor
Sorry, Ryan Lochte will not be the next bachelor.  Bummer.  Instead Sean Lowe will be the next guy to try and find love on the reality show.  You may know him from the last season of "The Bachelorette."  He was one of the final three vying for Emily Maynard's heart.

"Fargo" The TV Series?
"Fargo" is one of my all time favorite films, so I'm a little skeptical about it being turned in to a TV series.  But that's what's happening.  The Coen brothers, who did the film, had signed a deal to develop an hour long series based on the movie.  They would be executive producers for the show, but right now there's no projected date for the series to debut.

"Walking Dead" Renewed for a Fourth Season?  Maybe.
As many anticipate season 3 of "Walking Dead" (October 14th on AMC), AMC.com may have mistakenly indicated a fourth season is going to happen.  The show has not been officially renewed for a fourth season, but the network's website has a contest in which viewers can win a trip to the set during the fourth season.  But don't get too excited, because an AMC spokesperson says the show has NOT been renewed for season four.  Here's the trailer for season 3.

Kelsey Grammer Bails on Piers Morgan
It was an awkward night for Piers Morgan Wednesday.  Kelsey Grammer was scheduled to appear on "Piers Morgan Tonight," but just moments before the show was to start Grammer reportedly bolted when his segment opened with a photo of his ex-wife Camille Grammer.  A rep for Grammer told "The Hollywood Reporter", "Piers needs to take responsibility for what he did to Kelsey.  It's called accountability."  Morgan had this to say, "I like Kelsey Grammer personally, but this was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do.  I wasn't even going to mention his ex-wife."

Now here's a political debate I MIGHT watch.  (Probably not.)  It will be 90 minutes of mayhem when Jon Stewart and Bill O'Reilly go head-to-head in a debate October 6th from George Washington University.  It's called "The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium," and you can attend for $100 or watch online for $4.95.  According to the Rumble website, half of the net proceeds will be donated to a number of charities.

Just Days In, and the New "Idol" Judges Are Already Denying Feud
There have only been a couple of days of auditions with the four new "American Idol" judges, but rumors are already swirling that there's a feud between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.    They both deny the rumors.  Carey wondered to reporters how they could be fighting after only two days saying, "I think  feud takes a little longer to spread out."  Minaj agreed saying, "We're getting along wonderfully, darling."  Third judge Randy Jackson said the judges are having a good time.  No word from fourth judge, Keith Urban.

More trouble for Lindsay Lohan.  TMZ reports the actress was parking her Porsche in downtown New York City when she hit the knee of a man standing nearby.  Then one of her passengers got out of the car to check for damage and the group went into the Dream Hotel.  Someone called police and when Lohan came out of the hotel about 1:30am our time, officers arrested her for leaving the scene of an accident.
