John & Michele in the Morning

After 15 years, we're down to the last week.  July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning.  There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry! 
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business.  She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital.  It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.

Springfield Labor Day Parade: Monday at 10:00am in downtown Springfield.  Parade starts at 7th and Jefferson and heads west to 5th Street.  Then south to Capitol Street then east on Capitol to 6th Street.  Then north to Washington and ending at Washington and 7th.

To Kill a Mockingbird: Friday - and Saturday at 8:00pm each night at Theatre in the Park at Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site.  Tickets at www.theatreinthepark.net

Randy Jackson Out as "Idol" Judge
TMZ is reporting Randy Jackson is stepping down as a judge on "American Idol" and will retreat into a mentor position.  No word on his replacement.  Right now only one judge for the upcoming season is confirmed...Mariah Carey.

No More "Jersey Shore"
Looks like the upcoming sixth season of "Jersey Shore" will be the last.  I think I'll be able to get over it eventually.

Adele Says She's Not Married
Rumors have been swirling that Adele is married, but she took to Twitter on Thursday to deny it.  The rumors started when she was seen out and about in London wearing a gold wedding band on her ring finger.

Tori Spelling Pops Out Another Kid
She is a baby machine these days!  Baby number four has arrived for Tory Spelling and husband Dean McDermott.  Thursday their little boy, Finn Davey McDermott, entered the world at 5:39pm weighing in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces.  He joins older siblings Liam, Stella, and Hattie.

"The Avengers" Returns to Theaters for Labor Day
It was a such a huge success earlier in the year, I guess they thought they'd bring it back again.  Marvel Studios announced Thursday the popular film will be in theaters for the Labor Day weekend.  If you haven't seen it yet, here's a tip....stay through the credits.  The Blu-ray and DVD will be out September 25th.

Eddie Van Halen Has Emergency Surgery
Van Halen had to postpone their tour when Eddie Van Halen had to have emergency surgery for "a severe bout of diverticulitis."  He's expected to make a full recover, however he will be laid up for the next four to six months, which means they will have to reschedule their November tour of Japan.

Adele May Be Married
She's expecting a baby in a few weeks, and now "Life & Style" says Adele may also be married.  She's been seen around London wearing a gold wedding band on her ring finger recently.

It's a Baby Boy for Giuliana and Bill Rancic
It's been a long, hard road for the Rancics, but Wednesday night they finally became parents to a baby boy.  Edward Duke Rancic was born in Denver to their surrogate.  Now the family will head home to Chicago.

LeAnn Rimes In Treatment
People.com is reporting LeAnn Rimes has voluntarily checked into a 30-day in-patient treatment center "to cope with anxiety and stress."  The singer will still keep her weekend tour date and check back in after each weekend.  Rimes said, "This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be."
