After 15 years, we're down to the last week. July 12, 2013 will be the last show for John & Michele in the Morning. There's nothing scandalous to report...sorry!
John will continue his reign as Springfield's morning show king, but he'll just be doing it with someone new.
Michele is moving on to a new phase of her career in the radio business. She'll still be in Springfield and still with Neuhoff Media, however instead of being on the air she's going to be focusing on all things digital. It's been a great 15 years, and John & Michele plan to spend this last week reminiscing with guests and playing some of the best moments of the past.

"The Hobbit" Will Be Three Films
Really? Three? Director Peter Jackson has confirmed the much-anticipated story of "The Hobbit" will come to us now in three films instead of two. The first film, "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," is to be released December 13 of this year. The second film, "There and Back Again," will be out December 13, 2013. No word on a title or release date for the third film in the trilogy, but word it the studio is eyeing a summer 2014 date.
Another "Real Housewives" Marriage Is over
Here we go again. This time "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Adrienne Maloof is splitting from her husband, Dr. Paul Nassif. He filed papers Monday and is seeking joint custody of their three kids.
Fred Willard Loses Another Job
ABC has announced it's cancelling "Trust Us With Your Life," an improv show hosted by Fred Willard, due to low ratings. "The Hollywood Reporter" says the show will be replaced with reruns of "Wipeout." This is the second job Willard has lost in the last couple of weeks following his arrest earlier this month in an adult theater in L.A. The first job he lost was when PBS fired him from "Market Warriors."
Bret Michaels Is No Longer Engaged
Bret Michaels has split from Kristi Gibson. They couple got engaged on his reality show, "Bret Michaels: Life as I Know It."
NBC Olympics Coverage Scores Ratings and Complaints
The opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games had 40.7-million people watching NBC Friday night, and Saturday's primetime coverage drew 28.7-million--2 million more than tuned in for the first day of coverage at the 1996 Atlanta Games. It's not al good news though. NBC saw a steady stream of complaints online with Twitter users bashing the network for delayed coverage, numerous ads, and streaming problems. In fact, a parody Twitter account sprang up over the weekend. @NBCDelayed makes fun of NBC's tape-delayed coverage of major events with some of the following tweets: "BREAKING: American colonists announce independence, King to respond." "BREAKING: Muhammad Ali lights flame at opening ceremonies in Atlanta #NBCFail"

Yet another celebrity death hoax. This time it was Brad Pitt and the rumor that he died in a snowboarding accident in Switzerland. Not true. Brad Pitt is alive and well.
"Dancing with the Stars" All-Star Cast Revealed
This fall ABC will air the first all-star edition of "Dancing with the Stars," and Friday the network announced the cast. Bristol Palin will return along with Pamela Anderson, Shawn Johnson, Joe Fatone, Drew Lachey, Kirstie Alley, Helio Castroneves, Gilles Marini, Kelly Monaco, Apolo Anton Ohno, Melissa Rycroft, and Emmit Smith. The show will debut September 24th.
"Modern Family" Contract Dispute Settled
Looks like season 4 of "Modern Family" is no longer in jeopardy. A rep for 20th Century Fox TV says a deal has been reached with the show's cast. As part of the agreement reached Friday, the five cast members will drop their lawsuit against the studio.

Robert Pattinson Leaves In the Wake of Cheating Scandal
People.com is reporting things may be over for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. The website is reporting Pattinson has moved out of their home in Los Angeles. Stewart issued a public apology for her indiscretion with here "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders. Sanders also apologized saying he was "utterly distraught" about the pain he's caused his family.
Roseanne Barr Apologizes for Tweet
She's a classy dame, ain't she? Roseanne Barr has gotten herself into trouble again. This time for tweeting that anyone who eats at Chick-fil-A deserves to get cancer. She has now apologized for using the word "deserves" saying she shouldn't have used that word. Roseanne is reacting to the recent comments by Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy saying he doesn't support same-sex marriage.
McSteamy Leaving "Grey's Anatomy"
Say good-bye to McSteamy. Eric Dane is leaving "Grey's Anatomy. Dane said in a statement, "I am extremely grateful to everyone at "Grey's," ABC, and Shondaland for the experience and memories I have had over the course of this run. It has been wonderful to work alongside and learn from such a creative force such as Shonda Rhimes [the show's creator]."
Robin Roberts Going on Medical Leave
"Good Morning America" is losing a co-host for a while. Robert Roberts has announced she will go on medical leave at the end of August or early September for a bone marrow transplant. Roberts was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome earlier this year.
Katherine Jackson's Guardianship of Michael Jackson's Kids Suspended as the Drama Continues
Tuesday judge granted temporary custody of Michael Jackson's three kids to TJ Jackson. TJ Jackson is the son of Michael's brother Tito Jackson. The judge said Katherine's guardianship was not being suspended for wrongdoing but because she is being prevented from performing her guardianship duties by an "Intentional act from third parties." Word is Katherine is back home now. Paris Jackson tweeted early today "grandma's here! #thankyougod."
Twihards Distraught Over Kristen Stewart Affair
Kirsten Stewart has apologized for a "momentary indiscretion" after being caught apparently cheating with her director from "Snow White and the Huntsman," Rupert Sanders. Sanders happens to be married to the woman to played Stewart's mother in the film. Stewart issued a statement Wednesday saying she's "deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment" she has caused those close to her. She also had this to say, "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
"Gangster Squad" Officially Moved to January Release
It's official. Warner Bros. has moved the release of "Gangster Squad" from it's original September 7 release date to January 11, 2012. "The Hollywood Reporter" reports this will allow reshoots. The film contains a movie theater massacre.
"Dracula" Coming to NBC
Yes, there's another vampire show coming to TV. This one, however, is based on the original vampire...Dracula. That's also the name of the show. NBC has ordered 10 episodes of the show. No air date yet.
Sharon Osbourne Leaving "America's Got Talent"
Although there's been no official announcement, it looks as if Sharon Osbourne is leaving AGT. Tuesday Osbourne tweeted "My darling @HowardStern, money is not the reason I'm not returning to @nbcagt, it's because..." She never finished the thought. Sources at NBC says the network has not been notified that Osbourne is leaving the show.
Cast of "Modern Family" Sues to Void Contract
"Modern Family" recently picked up 14 Emmy nominations, and the show is a big hit for ABC. Now, the actors of the show have filed a lawsuit against 20th Century Fox Television to void their contracts with the studio after rejecting the studio's latest salary offer. Originally cast members Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, and Sofia Vergara were the plaintiffs, but now Ed O'Neill has joined as a plaintiff in a show of solidarity even though his contract was negotiated separately. The dispute has already affected the show. The first table read for the fourth season was supposed to happen Tuesday.
Christian Bale Visit Shooting Victims
The star of "The Dark Knight Rises," was in Colorado yesterday visiting victims of the movie theater shooting. A Warner Brothers spokesperson told "The Denver Post" Bale was there on his own and not representing the company.
"Gangster Squad" Delayed Until 2013
After the shootings in Aurora, Colorado last week Warner Bros. had a problem. Their film "Gangster Squad," scheduled to release in September, had a scene where gangsters shoot through a movie screen toward an audience. Initially reports said the studio was going to reshoot or edit the scene. Now "The Playlist" is reporting the studio has decided to postpone the film until January 2013.

The man who will always be remembered as George Jefferson of "The Jeffersons" has died. Police in El Paso, Texas say Sherman Hemsley was found dead in his home. The cause of death has not been determined, but police to not suspect foul play.
Mariah Carey Is Official on "Idol"
It was confirmed Monday that Mariah Carey will be a judge on the upcoming season of "American Idol." During a call to the members of the Television Critics Association Monday Carey said, "I can't wait to get started." Word is the deal was brokered by fellow judge, Randy Jackson, who happens to be Carey's manager. Simon Cowell of "X Factor," who once said he'd love to have Carey as a judge on his show, told "Entertainment Weekly" Monday he thought Carey was "going to find it difficult to say 'no' to contestants. She's sweet." Word is Carey will get getting $18-million making her the highest paid judge on any reality show.

More Craziness Out of the Jackson Family
When Michael Jackson died and the trial of his doctor concluded, I thought we wouldn't be hearing much about the Jackson family anymore. Wrong. Over the weekend CNN reported Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, was reported missing by her nephew when the grandchildren where unable to get in touch with her for a week. Then Jermaine, Katherine's son, tweeted a number of messages saying she is fine and resting on doctors orders. However Paris, Michael's daughter who's been under the care of Katherine since he died, tweeted "the same doctor that testified on behalf of dr murray saying my father was a drug addict (a lie) is caring for my grandmother...just saying."

Movie Studio Debates What To Do About "Gangster Squad" in the Wake of the Colorado Theater Shooting
You may have already seen the movie trailer for the upcoming film, "Gangster Squad." In the film trailer there is a scene where gangsters shoot up a theater full of movie goers...eerily similar to the massacre that happened in Aurora, Colorado. Warner Brothers immediately pulled the trailer out of theaters, but now they are discussing whether to remove or edit the scene from the film. Fred Willard Arrest "A Big Misunderstanding"
I just love Fred Willard, so I was totally bummed when this story showed up on my radar yesterday. The actor, known for his work in "Best in Show" and "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," was arrested Wednesday night on a lewd conduct charge at an adult theater. Willard says what police thought they saw "didn't happen" and it's all be ironed out with his lawyers. Word is Willard has already been fired from his role on the new PBS show "Market Warriors" and that PBS has instructed its affiliates not to air any unaired episodes featuring Willard. Willard is also the host of a new ABC improv show called "Trust Us With Your Life."

Spielberg's "Lincoln" To Be Released in November
At least in Springfield, Illinois, the reception for "Lincoln" is sure to be better than the recent "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter." "Lincoln" will open in limited release November 9th and everywhere November 16th. "Entertainment Weekly" pointed out the film will have some serious competition on both it's release dates. The new Bond movie, "Skyfall," opens November 9th, and the latest "Twilight" film opens November 16th.
Pete Rose Gets Reality Show
Oh boy. Another reality show, but this one features the controversial Pete Rose and his fiancee. Tentatively titled "Pete Rose and Kiana Kim Family Project," the show will air on TLC, according to "Entertainment Weekly." Rose says he hopes the show will give him a chance to clear up some of the misconceptions about him.
Halle Berry Rushed to Hospital After On-Set Accident
Details are hazy at this point, but Tuesday night Oscar-winner Halle Berry was rushed to Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in L.A. after an on-set accident. She was either hit by a falling object or fell down some stairs. Her injuries are thought to be minor.
Charlie Sheen Wants to Be an "Idol" Judge
Who doesn't want to be a judge on "American Idol?" I want to be a judge on "American Idol." Producer Nigel Lythgoe joked that it might be fun to have Charlie Sheen as a judge, and Tuesday Sheen addressed the idea with Ryan Seacrest saying, "I'm genuinely interested. It's different. Charlie Sheen to Donate $1-million to Troops
Last week he signed off Twitter, and now he's donating $1-million to the USO. Charlie Sheen is finally making some good decisions! Sheen called it an "honor" to be able to give back saying, "They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I'm just happy that my work on 'Anger Management' can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families." The donation is coming from Sheen's work on his new FX show.

Backstreet Boys Reuniting on "Good Morning America"
They're all getting back together again. All five members announced today on "Good Morning America" they will reunited for the show's Summer Concert Series on August 31st. The group is working on a new album to be released next spring.
Katie Holmes and Suri In Car Accident
Kate Holmes and Suri were leaving Suri's gymnastics lesson Monday night when their car was hit by a garbage truck. No one was injured, and Holmes was not driving. This is the second time in four days their vehicle has been hit. Last Friday paparazzi hit their car as they were heading home.
"Walking Dead" Season 3 Back in October
Season 3 of AMC's incredibly popular "Walking Dead" will return for 16 episodes in October. However, the season will be split into two parts. The first eight episode run will premiere October 14th at 8pm. The second half of the season will pick back up in February. Both "The Talking Dead" and "Comic Book Men" will also be back for 16 episodes.
"Ice Age" Below Expectations But Still #1
The fourth installment of the "Ice Age" franchise, "Ice Age: Continental Drift," knocked "The Amazing Spider-Man" out of the top spot at the box office this weekend. "Ice Age" made $46-million, lower than the $60-million that was predicted but still enough to be number one. The latest Spider-Man made $35-million, while "Ted" was third with another $22.1-million.

Autopsy Underway for Sylvester Stallone's Son
No word yet on a cause of death for the 36-year-old first-born son of actor Sylvester Stallone. Sage Moonblood Stallone was found dead last Friday in his home. Law enforcement found no signs of foul play or a suicide note. A publicist for Sylvester Stallone says the actor is "devastated and grief-stricken" over the sudden loss. Sage appeared alongside his father in "Rocky 5" playing Rocky Balboa, Jr. He also worked as a director and screenwriters.
Katie Holmes Enrolls Suri in Catholic School
As we all speculate over the reasons behind the lightning-speed divorce of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, many believe religion had a lot to do with it. Now, fuel has been added to that fire. E! is reporting Holmes has enrolled Suri in Manhattan's Convent of the Sacred Heart Catholic School. The school reportedly costs $38,000 a year and includes former students Caroline Kennedy, Lady Gaga, and Nicky Hilton.
Aretha Franklin Expresses Interest in Being an "Idol" Judge
Just days after both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez confirmed they will not be returning for the next season of "American Idol," the Queen of Soul has thrown her hat into the ring. Thursday Steven Tyler announced he will not be returning to "American Idol." Friday, Jennifer Lopez followed suit. Lopez told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Friday, "I could just keep doing 'Idol' for the rest of my life, but that would be giving up a bunch of other things. I feel like we had an amazing run." It's rumored the final judge, Randy Jackson, may also be leaving the show. However, no news on that front yet.

Kristen Chenoweth Injured on The Set of "The Good Wife"
Actress Kristin Chenoweth is fine after a scary moment on the set Wednesday in New York. Chenoweth was knocked out cold when she was struck by a piece of lighting equipment that collapsed after a wind gust. According to TMZ.com Chenoweth hit her head on the concrete when she fell and was rushed to a New York hospital. Her rep says she was treated for minor injuries.

Wednesday Sony announced "The Amazing Spider-Man" is on pace to pass the $400-million mark after just over a week at the box office. Not surprisingly Sony has announced two more films to complete a new trilogy.
DirecTV Loses Channels
If you have DirecTV and want to tune in to Nickelodeon, you're out of luck. Deadline.com reports DirecTV and Viacom failed to reach a settlement in their dispute before the deadline Tuesday. That means customers won't be seeing MTV, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and others.
DirecTV isn't the only satellite provider having this issue. Recently Dish Network dropped AMC when they were unable to reach an agreement.
Sofia Vergara Engaged?
She just turned 40, and now she's getting hitched. While the actress hasn't confirmed the news, People.com is reporting Sofia Vergara of "Modern Family" is engaged to boyfriend Nick Loeb.

However a British professor has created a composite based on female readers' descriptions of the main character. Third Book in "Hunger Games" Series to Be Two Movies
I suppose we have Harry Potter to blame for this. Lionsgate has announced that the final novel in the "Hunger Games" trilogy, "Mockingjay," will be split into two films. This paves the way for a "Hunger Games" film every year through 2015. For now the release dates are as follows: "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" November 22, 2013. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1" November 21, 2014. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2" November 20, 2015.

It's done. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have reached a divorce settlement. Reps for both sides have confirmed an agreement has been signed and that neither side will be disclosing the details of the deal.
Changes Coming to "American Idol" Again?
The judges table could look very different on the next season of "American Idol." E! is reporting that none of the current judges are under contract for the next season, and the producers are shopping around. Sources say some of the names floating around are Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Fergie, or Nicki Minaj. Season 12 auditions are going on right now without any judges.
Philip Seymour Hoffman Joins "Hunger Games" Cast
EW.com is reporting Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman will play Plutarch Heavensbee in the upcoming "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire." Lionsgate has not confirmed the casting.

I don't think anyone is shocked that "The Amazing Spider-Man" took the top spot at the box office over the weekend with $65-million. "Ted" brought in $32.6-million to come in second, while "Brave" was third with $20.2-million.

Former cast members of "Happy Days", CBS Corp, and Paramount Pictures have announced a settlement over royalty payments the actors claimed they were owed. Anson Williams, Marion Ross, Don Most, Erin Moran, and the widow of the late Tom Bosley claimed they were owed $10-million in royalties from sales of merchandise that included their images....lunch boxes, t-shirts, comic books, etc. No one is disclosing the terms of the settlement.
