Ann Curry's tears aren't even dry yet, but "Today" isn't wasting any time in revealing her replacement. TMZ.com cites sources at NBC who say the show will introduce Savannah Guthrie as the new co-host. Reportedly Matt Lauer will be on vacation next week, and they want to introduce Guthrie while he's there.
CNN and Fox News Screw Up The Healthcare Ruling
Oops! Both CNN and Fox News messed up big time Thursday when they delivered erroneous reports about the Supreme Court ruling on the Obama Healthcare law. Both networks reported the Supreme Court struck down the individual mandate before they corrected their errors. Of the three 24-hour news networks, MSNBC was the only one to get it right the first time.
"Avengers" Coming to Blu-ray September 25th
You can own the biggest film of the year on September 25th. That's when "The Avengers" is available on Blu-ray. Marvel is also releasing a mega-set that will include "The Avengers" plus "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2," "The Incredible Hulk," "Thor," and Captain America."
William Shatner Pantless at the Airport!
Oh how embarrassing! Williams Shatner was at the Los Angeles airport and was singled out by the TSA. Unfortunately the 81-year-old was wearing some comfortable loose clothing. A litte too loose, in fact, because Shatner's pants fell to his ankles as dozens watched. He said, "It's probably the most embarrasing thing that's ever happened to me."
Ann Curry Confirms She's Leaving "Today"
Wednesday in a phone interview with a "USA Today" reporter, Ann Curry confirmed she is leaving her position as co-anchor of "Today." She said Thursday would be a "bit of a tough day" as she would be making the announcement during the show. Reports say NBC is negotiating with Savannah Guthrie to replace Curry. Guthrie is currently the 9am co-host and legal correspondent for the show.
Star of "My Three Sons" Dead at 68
He was an original Mouseketeer and Robbie Douglas on "My three sons." Don Grady has died at age 68. According to TMZ.com he was suffering from cancer and leaves behind his wife and their two children.
"The Good Wife" Adds Nathan Lane
Come fall "The Good Wife" is going to look a little different. Yesterday we told you Kristin Chenoweth was joining the show as political reporter. Now we find out Nathan Lane will join the fourth season as well. Earlier this week it was announced "ER's" Maura Tierney and British actor Marc Warren will appear on the season premiere.
Nora Ephron Dead at 71
If you don't know her name, you definitely know her movies. "When Harry Met Sally," "Sleepless in Seattle," "Julie & Julie," and "You've Got Mail" just to name a few. Nora Ephron died Wednesday at a hospital in New York reportedly from complications of a blood disorder. A writer, producer, and director, she was one of the most powerful women in Hollywood. Billy Crystal, who played Harry in "When Harry Met Sally" said he was "very lucky to say her words." While Tom Hanks who starred in "Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've Got Mail" said that he and his wife were "so very sad" to lose a friend "who brought so much joy to all were lucky enough to know her."

Her show "GCB" only made it one season, so Kristin Chenoweth needed another job. Now Broadway.com is reporting she'll join the cast of "The Good Wife" in a recurring role for the upcoming season. Chenoweth will play a political reporter.
Kraft Draws Lots of Comments on Facebook for Gay Pride Oreo
Monday, June 25, Kraft Foods posted a picture of an Oreo with rainbow colored filling in recognition of Pride Month. Naturally it received quite a reaction. According to Reuters, as of Tuesday afternoon over 22,000 people had commented. The cookie will not be available in stores.
Did Charlie Sheen Trash a Hotel Room Or Not?
Charlie Sheen has been largely quiet lately, seemingly on good behavior. However there are conflicting reports about his activities over the weekend. "Us Weekly" reports the actor was in NYC with his ex-wife Denise Richards and their kids while she promoted a film, and a source says Sheen abandoned his family for most of the weekend while partying at the Ritz-Carlton. The source says Sheen trashed the room and was told never to visit a Ritz property again. However, Sheen's rep says he didn't do it saying, "Charlie did not trash his hotel room...Charlie was not told that he is no longer welcome at the Ritz Carlton." Sheen's rep isn't the only one denying the bad behavior. PR for the hotel said, "There has been no issue there. Mr. Sheen is absolutely welcome in any Ritz-Carlton hotel in the portfolio."

Would I take $10-million to leave my job? Heck yeah! I wouldn't even have to think about it. That's what's reportedly happening to Ann Curry. TMZ.com says the current co-anchor of "Today" is being paid $10-million to leave the show and be replaced with someone else. Ratings have dipped since Curry took over for former co-anchor Meredith Viera.

Pixar Gets Lucky Number 13
Congratulations to Pixar! Their 13th film, "Brave," became their 13th consecutive film to debut at number one at the box office. The film pulled in $66.7-million knocking "Madagascar 3" to number two with $20.2-million. "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" came in third with $16.5-million.
"General Hospital" Wins Five Daytime Emmys
The Daytime Emmys were handed out in Beverly Hills over the weekend. If you missed them, it's probably because the show as moved to cable for the first time (HLN). Some of the winners included "Today" as best morning show and "Dr. Oz" as best informative talk show. Olympic Trials
The summer Olympics from London start July 27th with the opening ceremonies, so it's down to the wire for the athletes who want to represent the USA for their sport. For the next several days you'll have the opportunity to gear up for the Olympics with trials in several sports including swimming, diving, track & field, water polo, and gymnastics. Meredith Viera Will Not Return to "Today"
As NBC is reportedly trying to solidify their anchor lineup before the Olympics, TMZ reports the network make a big offer to Meredith Viera trying to get her to return to the show as co-anchor. She turned it down. Ratings have fallen for "Today" recently, and many blame current co-anchor Ann Curry for the drop.
"Idol" Runner-Up May Guest on "Glee"
Looks like season eleven runner-up on "American Idol," Jessica Sanchez, may snag a role on "Glee." TVLine.com reports Sanchez is about to close a deal that would have her character appear in four episodes. Exactly one year from today, the first prequel from Pixar will hit theaters. Arsenio Is Coming Back
He recently became the latest "Celebrity Apprentice," and now he's coming back with a new talk show. Arsenio Hall has reportedly signed a deal with CBS Television Distribution. It's the same company that produced his show in the 90's. According to TheWrap.com there's no title for the show yet, but it will launch in Fall of 2013.
"Community" Allowed to Vie for Emmy in Animated Category
This just made me go, "Huh?" And I'm not the only one. Writers behind animated shows like "Family Guy" and "The Simpsons" have recently signed a letter to the TV academy protesting a decision that lets NBC sitcom "Community" put itself in the running for Emmys in the animated categories. Why? Because the episode in question, "Digital Estate Planning," is a stand-alone special episode that involved a "significant and substantive format change throughout."

It's two in a row for the animated film "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" at the movies. The film brought in another $35.5-million. Coming in second it was "Prometheus" with $20.2-million. The latest Tim Cruise, "Rock of Ages," brought in $15.1-million to land in third.
Jack Osbourne Has MS
We got to know Jack Osbourne, the son of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, when he appeared on the family's reality show, "The Osbournes." He received the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis just week after he celebrated the birth of his first child. His story is featured in the new issue of "People."
Another Stage Collapse Claims a Life
Saturday in Toronto a drum technician for Radiohead was killed when the stage collapsed before the scheduled concert. The man was identified Sunday as Scott Johnson. Two received minor injuries, while another man suffered a serious but non life-threatening injury. Radiohead posted a tribute to Johnson on their web site Sunday.

It was a busy fathers day for Gene Simmons of KISS. He spent his time at the San Francisco auditions for "X Factor." Simmons's daughter, Sophie, was singing for the judges in a bid to get on the show. No word on how she did.

Kevin Costner Prevails in Lawsuit
It was good news for actor Kevin Costner and bad news for actor Stephen Baldwin in court. Baldwin filed a lawsuit against Costner saying Costner cheated him out of a chance to earn millions in a deal to sell devices to clean up the BP oil spill in 2010. Baldwin says Costner and his business partner failed to tell him about the BP deal before Baldwin sold his shares in the company. The jury ruled in favor of Costner.
R. Kelly Owes Taxes
The latest celeb to owe Uncle Sam is R. Kelly. According to TMZ, Kelly owes more than $4.8-million in taxes after he failed to pay his taxes from 2005-2010. A rep for Kelly says he's "in the process of working everything out of the government."
Sarah Jessica Parker Hosts Fundraiser for Obama
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker helped raise another $2-million for President Obama's campaign Thursday night. "The Hollywood Reporter" says SJP hosted the shindig at her Manhattan home with guests such as Meryl Streep and "Vogue" editor Anna Wintour paying $50,000 to attend. Following the event, Obama was scheduled to head to the Plaza Hotel in New York for a fundraiser hosted by Mariah Carey.
Another Miss USA Contestant Says the Fix is In
FOXNews.com says another Miss USA contestant is backing up claims by the former Miss Pennsylvania, Sheena Monnin, that the pageant is fixed. The contestant, who is keeping her identity a secret, says Miss Florida told her she saw a document that had the names of the Top 5 finalists before the Top 15 were even announced. Donald Trump, who owns the pageant, recently filed a defamation suit against Monnin, but she's sticking to her story.

Are you a "House Hunters" addict like me? I just love that show! I love looking through the house that are for sale and trying to guess which one the home buyers will pick. Well I hate to burst the bubble, but according to a recent entry on the Hooked on Houses blog, the show is mostly fake. Bobi Jensen says the show changed the reason she was buying the home, because the real reason was "boring and overdone." Jensen also says the houses they looked at during her 2006 episode weren't even for sale. They were houses owned by her friends. Oh well, I'll still watch the show.

"Idol" Phillip Phillips Released from Hospital
After spending almost seven hours in surgery last Wednesday, "American Idol" season 11 champion Phillip Phillips was released from the hospital Sunday. The situation was more serious than most people knew. Phillips had surgery for kidney stones, plus TMZ reports a stent used in his kidney had become embedded and had to be removed. Phillips is still planning on playing the 45-date "American idol" tour that kicks off July 6th.
Philip Seymour Hoffman Offered Role in "Catching Fire"
Reports are saying Oscar-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is being courted to play a role in the next film of the "Hunger Games" series. Hoffman is being asked to play the role of Plutarch Heavensbee, the new Gamemaker.

One Divorce Off, One Divorce On
Courtney Cox and David Arquette have been separated for almost two years, and Arquette is looking to make it more permanent. he has officially filed papers to end their 13-year marriage. He's requesting joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, Coco.
Looks like Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa will be staying together, at least for now. Vanessa filed papers back in December, but in California you have to wait six months before you can file final papers. That six months was up over the weekend, and no papers were filed. TMZ.com reports the couple is trying to work out their issues.
Robin Roberts and Tommy Chong Reveal Health Battles
Robin Roberts of "Good Morning America" has revealed she has a rare blood disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome. Roberts announced Monday she will receive a bone marrow transplant from her sister as part of the treatment. Roberts battled cancer several years ago and said the current issue is directly related to her treatment for cancer.
Tommy Chong, better known as one half of Cheech and Chong, has prostate cancer. He says he noticed symptoms about eight years ago and was diagnosed about a month ago.

Uh oh. This kind of behavior will get your probation revoked. When Lindsay Lohan's rented Porsche crashed into an 18-wheeler Friday, Lohan claimed she wasn't driving. TMZ.com says the actress told police her assistant was driving. However her assistant told police that Lohan was driving. Oops.

Now that the 2011 - 2012 TV is over, we have some idea of the winners and losers. One of the more interesting stats is the most pirated show. Turns out it was HBO's "Game of Thrones." On average there were nearly 4-million illegal downloads of each episode of "Game of Thrones." Coming in second and third it was "How I Met Your Mother" and "Big Bang Theory."
Lindsay Lohan Causing Trouble Again
Friday Lindsay Lohan slammed her rented Porsche into a truck driver. She's still blaming the truck driver for the accident, saying he cut her off, and now she's added the car rental company to that list. She says she slammed on the brakes but nothing happened, and that she was told the brakes had been replaced two days before she got the car. The driver of the 18-wheeler, however, says Lohan and her "people" have offered him money to take the fall. He told TMZ that a member of her entourage told him he could "go to the bank" to withdraw some cash if it would help the incident disappear.

Lady Gaga Suffers Concussion During Concert
Ouch! Who knew being a musician could be so dangerous? In Auckland, New Zealand, on Sunday Lady Gaga was performing when one of her dancers accidentally hit her in the head with a pole. Gaga kept going and reportedly told the crowd, "I did hit my head and I think I may have a concussion but don't you worry I will finish this show."

Donald Trump Wants an Apology from Miss Pennsylvania
Yesterday we told you Miss Pennsylvania had resigned her title saying the Miss USA pageant last weekend was rigged. Now Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant, is angry and wants an apology. Trump told TMZ.com that if Sheena Monnin doesn't say she's sorry he's going to take her to court. Trump adds her accusations are "utterly baseless."
John Mayer Says Taylor Swift Hurt Him
Awww, poor John Mayer. In the new "Rolling Stone" Mayer says Taylor Swift "humiliated" him by writing a song on her "Speak Now" album called "Dear John." The song is rumored to be about a brief romance between the two musicians. Mayer says, "I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do."
Premiere Date for "The Hobbit"
The much anticipated prequel to the "Lord of the Rings," "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey," will premiere in New Zealand November 28th. The rest of us will get to see it December 14th. The it set 60 years before "Lord of the Rings," it was shot in 3D, and it's split into two parts. The second part, "The Hobbit: There and Back Again," is due in December 2013.
Miley Cyrus Engaged
"People" broke the news today that 19-year-old Miley Cyrus is engaged to Liam Hemsworth of "The Hunger Games." Hemsworth reportedly popped the question May 31st with a 3 1/2 carat diamond ring from jeweler Neil Lane. The two have been dating for about three years. No word on a wedding date yet.
Sheryl Crow Has a Brain Tumor
Thankfully it's a benign brain tumor. Crow revealed this information in an interview this week with "Las Vegas Review-Journal" columnist Doug Elfman. She says she was worried about her memory and decided to have an MRI last fall. She found out she had the tumor in November. According to Crow's publicist, the brain tumor she has is very common and Crow has no symptoms and is "healthy and happy."
Miss Pennsylvania Says Pageant Was Rigged
Miss Pennsylvania is mad as hell and she's not going to take it any more! Sheena Monnin says the Miss USA pageant, held last weekend, was rigged and she's resigning her title. Monnin says says before the pageant a fellow contestant told her that she saw a list of five finalists, which later matched the top five contestants. Pageant organizers say Monnin stepped down because of their new policy allowing transgender contestants.
Famed Manager Tommy Lasorda Suffers Heart Attack
Monday in New York former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda suffered a mild heart attack. the 84-year-old was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and is in stable condition and resting comfortably.

"Idol" Winner Not Having Surgery After All
Looks like "American Idol" season 11 winner Phillip Phillips won't be missing any dates on the "Idol" tour. Phillips was scheduled to undergo surgery for a problem kidney the week after the show wrapped. However, he had to cancel the procedure due to a sinus infection. Now a source tells E! News that Phillips is doing well with an alternative treatment meaning he should be fine to open the tour in Detroit next month.

Mel Gibson's father is filing for divorce from his wife of 10 years. Hutton Gibson is asking for spousal support and attorneys fees from his wife as he cites irreconcilable differences, according to TMZ.
"Twilight" Cleans Up At the MTV Movie Awards
It was a good night for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" at the MTV Movie awards in L.A. The film won Best Movie, while Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson shared the award for Best Kiss once again. "The Hunger Games" also picked up some awards including Best Male and Best Female performances and Best Fight. Emma Stone picked up the Trailblazer award, and Johnny Depp won the Generation Award.
"Snow White" Wins at Box Office
The rework of the classic fairytale managed a big win at the box office over the weekend. "Snow White and the Huntsman" pulled in $56.3-million pushing "Men In Black 3" to number two with $29.3-million. "The Avengers" falls to number three on the list with $20.3-million.
Two Celebrity Deaths Over the Weekend
Longtime "Family Feud" host, Richard Dawson, as died at the age of 79 due to complications related to esophageal cancer. The Brit hosted the show from 1976-1985 and was known as "The Kissing Bandit" for kissing the female contestants on the show.
And in an example of life imitating art, actress Kathryn Joosten has died. The Emmy Award-winning actress played grumpy neighbor Mrs. McCluskey on "Desperate Housewives." Her character died on the show's season finale last month, also from cancer. She was 72.
Drew Barrymore Marries....Again
The guest list was star studded as actress Drew Barrymore married her fiance of five months. Barrymore and Will Kopelman wed at her home in Montecito, California on Saturday. Barrymore's previous two marriages lasted less than six months, so here's hoping this one makes it at least a year. She's currently expecting their first child.
Oprah Relaunches Book Club for the Digital Age
Oprah's Book Club sold a lot of books, and now it's back and rebooted. Oprah's Book Club 2.0 includes digital elements like eBooks and Twitter and Facebook and allows for interaction between the readers and the author. The first book is "Wild," and the special Oprah version of the book will be available at Noon today.

Justin Bieber Suffers a Concussion
Justin Bieber probably won't have many fond memories of touring Europe. Thursday in Paris Bieber was performing and went back stage in between song and ran into a wall of glass. He told TMZ he felt disoriented but finished the show. Then Bieber later passed out for about 15 seconds as he walked back to his dressing room. Turnings out he has a concussion. This isn't the only incident. Wednesday Bieber had a free concert in Oslo, Norway. The crowds were so enormous that Bieber went to Twitter asking fans to calm down and listen to police so they could have a safe show. It didn't help. Police says 49 fans were injured at the event.
Jessica Simpson's Raking in the $$$
She got $800,000 for photos of her newborn baby, and now she's getting $3-million to lose the baby weight. Getting pregnant has been quite an income boost for Jessica Simpson. ABC News is reporting Simpson has signed on with Weight Watchers as their new spokesperson.
Kate Walsh to Leave "Private Practice?"
Deadline TV is reporting exclusively that Dr. Addison Montgomery will be leaving "Private Practice" after 13 episodes of the upcoming sixth season. Kate Walsh plays Dr. Montgomery, the character we first met on "Grey's Anatomy." Since the show was built around Walsh's character, it remains to be seen what will happen to the show.
